Planting Grass - Volunteer Day at YC
We want to thank all of you who showed up Saturday to help plant grass around the school!
As you can see in one of the images below, some of the grass from last volunteer day is already popping up throughout the school grounds! The support you give your community is immensely appreciated.
Why is volunteering so important?
Volunteer work is important for your health. The Corporation for National and Community Service says that volunteering improves psychological and physical health. Volunteers reap the benefits of feeling a personal sense of accomplishment while building social networks that, in turn, support them in times of stress.
Volunteer work is also an important part of your resume. A history of volunteering demonstrates your commitment to the community and a willingness to work for the betterment of others.
Therefore, thank you for being an example to our students who get to enjoy the flourished and cared for environment.
